How To Make An Origami Star:
Step 1: Gather your materials. You will need scissors and colored paper of your choice.
Step 2: Cut a ¾ of an inch strip wide and eight to ten inches long.
Step 3: Tie a knot at the top of the strip with a little bit of paper left on top.
Step 4: Make sure the knot is not too loose, then flatten the knot.
Step 5: Tuck the extra paper at the top of the knot into the pocket of the knot.
Step 6: Fold the long part of the strip along the edge of the pentagon shape.
Step 7: Fold the long strip along the pentagon again (not in the same place as last time)
Step 8: Keep folding the long part of the strip along the edges of the pentagon until there is about a half to ¾ left of an inch.
Step 9: Then, tuck the leftover paper into the pocket.
Step 10: Use your fingers to pinch five points in the star, and the star will puff up!
Step 11: Your origami star is complete, try to challenge your friends and see if they can make it too!
